Organic Mole Control

Mole problems? Oh what damage they can do to your garden and lawn. They can become extremely aggravating. If you are getting frustrated with these destructive critters we have some good advice. Using a combination of these methods will probably work best. Moles are often believed to eat your plants roots. This is actually not true but their skill as tunnel makers gives opportunity to other creatures that do eat roots. Moles actually feed on earthworms and grubs. Moles do kill garden plants by creating air pockets and damaging roots though. They often attract attention from other animals and pets that attempt to dig them up creating even bigger holes in your yard. Yes moles create allot of damage.

There are two plants my grandfather told me about that work to keep moles away, the castor bean plant and the mole plant. Both are poisonous and should not be grown around children. The castor bean plant

is actually a beautiful ornamental plant as well. It has huge hand shaped leaves and sometimes gets a purplish hue when it cools off for the season. The mole plant doesn't have a very appealing name but it is also an ornamental plant. The leaves are lance shaped and boast a beautifully contrasted white vein that runs down the center.

Marigolds are also said to be a good repellant type plant. My grandparents always had marigold flowers planted around their yard and garden. They always told me they kept the rabbits, gophers and moles out of their yard and garden, I have to believe it.

Small windmills are also said to be a good mole prevention device. I think this may be hard to prove maybe I'm skeptical because my personal results were less than satisfactory. It does make sense that the vibration would scare them off but if the wind isn't blowing at the time the moles decide to pay you a visit it's not going to work, even theoretically.

Victor Mole TrapYou have probably seen victor mouse traps but have you ever seen a Victor Mole Trap? These aren't the same traps my grandfather used. Those ones didn't seem to work like these new ones do. If you learn how to use them they are actually quite effective. These are plunger style mole traps equipped with a safety pin to eliminate false firings.

Spring is the best time to trap moles because newly-made surface tunnels are easy to spot. However, moles can be trapped with this type of trap during any season except in very cold or dry weather. This method might seem extreme to some people but after suffering so much damage sometimes revenge is sweet.

Another great organic product for mole control is Mole-ReliefTM Liquid Mole Repellent. This product is great for those folks who would rather not kill the pesky moles. Instead of bringing them to their demise Mole-ReliefTM Liquid Mole Repellent and Mole-ReliefTM Dry Mole Repellent simply chase moles away. It produces an odor moles just can't stand. This product is all natural and biodegradable, non toxic and is ok to use around children and pets. This method of mole control is quite effective because they truly hate the smell and stay clear of the treated area for 2 months and the dry repellant lasts up to 3 months. The dry repellant can be spread by hand on small areas or with a broadcaster for large areas.

Initially apply Mole-Relief in the spring and then reapply as directed. One package of the dry repellant treats a 2,500 square foot area.

Please forget fairy tales about baffling complexity of backup programs! Most of backup programs have Wizards with intuitive user interface which let you configure your backup task with ease. A typical backup program can be installed within several minutes. Setting a backup task takes several minutes more. That's all. Then the backup program will take care of your crucial data.

After all, the price of such a program (30-70$ for single license) is far less then the costs of data loss.

We have tried to expose some myths about backup and to mark some positive abilities that backup software gives us. Today's backup software offers comfortable way to make reserve copies of your crucial data. As more people get familiar with automated backup solutions, they tend to become must-have software, along with e-mail clients, word processors and anti-virus programs.
